I've been talking about composing a dramatic orchestral track since I bought my studio gear mid last year. Finally I've decided to rise to the challenge. Coming from a pop/rock guitar background having no experience in this genre, this was certainly outside my comfort zone and I have much to learn - constructive feedback very welcome! I doubt I'll post too many tracks in this genre, but you can count on there being the occasional one because I really enjoyed composing this. (And I love dramatic music! I may or may not be a huge TSFH fan...) The inspiration for this piece came from the episode Hearth's Warming Eve. It had been a long time since ponies had known peace. Declarations of war made in blindness by the ignorance of a few. The cold set in and as diplomacy broke down civilization was nearly lost forever. But in those final critical moments a miracle occurred. Against all odds, the power of an unlikely friendship summoned a magic that would fan the flame into driving out the windigos, unifying the races and restoring peace to the land.
