My second ever PMV - W00T ^0^ Featured on; http://www.equestriadaily.com/2013/08/pmv-surfacing.html http://pmvtoday.com/2013/08/surfacing/ http://pmv.everfree.net/2013/08/envelopebrony-surfacing-pmv/ I heard this song ("Surfacing") the day it was released on Soundcloud, and it somewhat compelled me to create a video that might, with some luck, generate attention for such a great under-the-radar artist. So I started work on a PMV 3 days or so after the song was first uploaded, and went about attempting to create something that might compliment his work. Despite my best efforts, I doubt that I could have conjured up something to match the quality of Siren's music, but I hope people enjoy this vid regardless. I can't take the credit for finding Sirensceol alone. A few months ago, I watched this PMV; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBzYn5FShAw and I was VERY surprised by the music. (Also, I ♥ your simple PMV effects, tesshissa :3 http://www.youtube.com/user/tesshissa?feature=watch) And I was really just shocked by how much of an Unknown Sirensceol was. C'mon let's give Sirensceol some traffic! PLEASE go and check out Siren's music, it's STUNNING. https://soundcloud.com/sirens-ceol And the song; https://soundcloud.com/sirens-ceol/sirensceol-surfacing-original What I wanted to create was a simple GFX driven PMV, less focused on storyline, but instead upon the links between the characters. I've always found it impressive that such an array of characters with opposing character traits can fit together into one show, without any of their friendships seeming forced. It's hard to imagine Fluttershy, a timid and reclusive character, having any relation to Pinkie, a vibrant party animal, or Rainbow, an awesome yet boastful egotist. (p.s. Dashie is best pony) And yet, all these friendships tie in well with each other and seem very...real. I guess that friendship really is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSf9aEETnvE . Credit to LittleshyFiM who created some of the masks http://www.youtube.com/user/LittleshyFiM The rest were by me. I've also compiled all the Cutie mark transition effects into a .Zip folder, which is free for anybody to download, if they'd like to use some of my effects or just take a peek at my abysmal Flash file organization :3 http://www.mediafire.com/?4khc1718cl4fljx I love to see up-and-coming video creators, so feel free to use anything you want from the Flash file...if you can find your way around the disorganized way it's put together that is! This video was made with Adobe After Effects CS6, Adobe Flash CS6 and Sony Vegas 11. All sources of procrastination in the process of making this video were created by Steam.
