Last video of 2014; better make it disappointing! ... I felt bad that I didn't make a Christmas PMV this year, so I decided to do something a bit different. Here's some of my more prominent unfinished projects of 2014, since there's no better way to end the year than looking back on your failures! Seriously, though, I'm going to go through these one by one and tell you why they are here and what I hate/ love about them. Fasten your seatbelts! Project #1: The Ocean (PMV) Status: abandoned This one is here because this is quite literally all I have left of it. My computer crashed, the project was gone, and this was all I had saved. I'm kind of sad about it, but I wasn't exactly in love with it, so I have no intention of going back. Project #2: Sunset's Winter Status: abandoned This one failed mostly due to lack of footage, and after I had gotten two minutes in I realized that the concept as a whole was silly and just kind of dropped it. The effects are atrocious, but I do like the timing and the energy of it enough to throw it in here. Project #3: Goodbye, Goodbye (PMV) Status: abandoned Not all of these are merely abandoned, I guess I just like starting out with those. Anyways, this PMV (if you can believe it) was dropped because I thought it was too sad. Yes, really. In addition, choosing scenes when you killed off one of the main characters is really hard, and even with this short clip you can still spot ghost Pinkie in the background. I do like some of the color effects, though. Project #4: Madoka Magica: Glory Status: Unfinished, still very much a possibility I'm really thinking about finishing this one, honestly, but there's a part of me that would be so nervous about uploading it because it's a bit out of left field (still a Radical Face song, though. Some things just never change.) I figured I'd throw it on here to just kind of let people know, and maybe to see if there is an audience for it in the first place before I go making all six minutes of it. Project #5: Gravity Falls: This is for our Sins Status: abandoned This one mostly ended simply because, as much as I love it, Gravity Falls is not a particularly dramatic show, and certainly not one that could sustain an entire depressing instrumental song in a way that other shows can. If season 2 ends with enough sad moments to go around, I might consider remaking it. Project #6: C L O N E (Or P O N E, depending on how punny I feel) Status: It's... complicated I've been kicking this project around since forever. One day I sit down, confident I can do it, but other days it just kind of drives me insane. I feel like I'll go insane whether or not I finish it. It's also doubly stressful because when I started it, I started it with the intention of doing the whole album, which makes my already limited pool of scenes even more limited. I'm thinking of sitting on it until season 5 comes over the horizon, but at that point I'll probably be embarrassed by it and have to start at the beginning, which is just the start of a vicious cycle.... Project #7: The original draft of Epiphany Status: Deader than Disco I don't have much to say about this other than how I am so happy I decided to start over. It honestly hurts my eyes just to look at, but I thought it was a good way to say: "Look at how far you can come if you practice!"
