Hi everypony! Here's a song inspired by some haikus about autumn. First of all, I want to thank Wubcake infinitely for the awesome vocal work she did here, by bringing Rarity's character to life in such a beautiful way! Thank you so so so much! :)

Rarity is away, in the far East, and the summer is coming to an end. Being away from her friends, she's feeling sad and lonely. One night, as she cannot sleep, she goes out to contemplate the harvest moon and starts reciting haikus.

"Autumn evening
There is joy
Also in loneliness."

"Since it turns out I’m all by myself
I make friends
With the harvest moon."

"Still more than last year
It makes me feel sad and lonely
The end of autumn."

The three haikus presented here were written by Yosa Buson, a japanese poet and painter from the 18th century, during the Edo period. He probably wrote those haikus in Kyoto between 1758 and 1784.

The artwork I made for this song is largely inspired from "Summer Moon at Miyajima", a landscape print, made in 1932 by Tsuchiya Koitsu.
