It was too perfect not to do. Video/art by Arjen Lamé (http://www.youtube.com/theartrix) Original video: "My Little Pony - Polka is Magic" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYf64O-tsy4) Music: "Catgroove" by Parov Stelar (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twqM56f_cVo) So one day I was studying for finals and listening to music. The screensaver version of the Polka is Magic video started playing, and I just left it on without really paying much attention. A few minutes later, Catgroove started playing (yes I listen to it outside of the .mp4 videos, because it's just that fucking awesome). Then I looked up and realized... holy shit, it goes really REALLY fucking well. So bam. Synchronizing the video with the song is as simple as taking the BPM of the song (128), dividing it by the BPM of the video (140), and then entering the resulting number (0.9143 or 91.43%) into the Speed/Duration property of the video in Adobe Premiere Pro. It'll cause the video to playback at that rate, thereby synchronizing it with the song. I can do any song with any video of this style. Just let me know. But do be aware that some songs go better than others, especially to this particular type of video.
