Heyo! This month I'm finally getting back to music and pretty much everything else, including the work on my next album and some tracks for the upcoming "Ponies at Dawn" compilation. As an exercise (and also for fun) I've decided to QUICKLY (a few whoopsies here and there) make a bass cover — when was the last time I did any..? So yes, roughly 2,5 hours spent on this one: done the bass part by ear, then learned how to play it, split the audio to get a cleaner mix, set up the camera, chose the angle, made a video, adjusted the levels, rendered the audio, edited the video in vegas and rendered it — that's a bit extra, but considering some small breaks (water, stretches, talking etc) it's pretty much 2,5 hours anyways ^_^ And for the cover I've decided to pay some respects to Gastljus, a folk/death/black/pagan/something metal project from Sweden, who released only one demo album in 2011 and the further releases did not see the light of day in the end, sadly. Still, that album is a great example of moderately raw, interesting and creative folk black metal, plus it's one of those few projects where Simon Regnell was involved (one way or another). You can also get their album on bandcamp, which is pretty cool! https://gastljus.bandcamp.com/ _________________________________ You can support me on ko-fi! https://ko-fi.com/sdreamexplorers All stuff related to my "Ephemeral" album series can be found here under the #epStories2018 tag: https://vk.com/souldreamexplorerstrings https://twitter.com/souldestrings Subscribe here and follow me on the links below for more: https://sdreamexplorers.bandcamp.com https://soundcloud.com/sdreamexplorers https://soundcloud.com/sdreamexplorertwo _________________________________ Who needs schedule?
