I wrote this song during my first two or three weeks on campus at the University of British Columbia, where I'm going to be for the next few years. Having just met the people who give me such a serene sense of belonging and community, I wanted to write something that gave me that same warmth and friendliness. One of the places that always speaks to both me and my aesthetic are old, rustic coffee shops with warm, golden colours. That said, when I went back to Seattle to visit my parents for the weekend, I knocked this out in just an hour or so. This is honestly one of the best piano mixes I've ever done.

This, along with about six other songs that I've already written, were originally going to be on my first LP release, but I've found that with the more advanced electronic oriented things that I've been doing, I'd have one nearly final pass of my original piano compositions. These are where I started, after all.

I sincerely hope you enjoy. And hey, maybe you'll see me down at the imaginary café on the imaginary Monument Parkway in Canterlot playing a set sometime. c:
