I was planning to release this track when I actually hit 10K (now I'm almost at 11K), but several things delayed its completion. School was keeping me busy as usual. The song was pretty hard to record because of the strange rhythms I wrote in. During winter break, I didn't have access to my keyboard, so I couldn't work on this song for 2-3 weeks. Composing requires so much work...

Also, at first, this song was just a piano piece. However, after I composed the piano part, I felt that the piece didn't have enough energy to it. I started to play around with drums and percussion, and I ended up creating some rhythms I thought matched pretty well. Since I have no idea how drum sets work or how to play the drums, the percussion part is probably not playable. Sorry about that

The title of the piece, Double Black, was created by my sister. After I finished the whole track, I couldn't think of a good title, so I sent it to my sister. She told me it reminded her of skiing and suggested a few skiing-related titles. Obviously, I went with Double Black. For those who don't ski or snowboard, trails marked with a double black diamond are the most difficult ski trails and are meant for expert skiers/riders. I myself have never gone on a double black diamond, but I can go on black diamonds (also expert trails). Skiing is the only sport I'm actually good at lol

Anyways, I hope you like the piece! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It could certainly use some work in various places, but overall, not bad imo. What do you think? Let me know!
