Today officially marks 10 years to the day that I first watched My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I kept seeing memes appear on the pop culture websites I liked at the time and looked up what was going on. When I found out the show hit big with my demographic and Lauren Faust was behind it, I called up a friend and told him that there was this weird, new show that we were probably going to like and should try out. I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions of my life and has sculpted nearly every aspect of it since then.

I originally wrote this song for a DustCar competition at the end of 2020. I wanted to have an optimistic message with a bit of a somber feel to it as a way to capture how I felt about the end of G4 and the prospect of an upcoming generation. In a lot of ways, it is the perfect song to look back on how this show and community have molded who I am as a person for the last 10 years.
