“It’s going to be intense, but it’s going to be ok” ~Andrew W.K. (King of party punk, motivational speaker, brony) We’ve seen from the show that for a long time, changelings couldn’t be accepted into most societies even if they wanted to. Here’s a tribute to them and the hope that the hard times pass soon. I’m always enthralled by the hive’s ever-improving attitude and outlook on their situation. I wrote this song in college when most of my friends and I were all going through a hard time. I think everyone goes through a phase where everything is sucky and just want things to be better. This last month or so has definitely felt that way! Special thanks to RubyW32 for the cover art. She is great! Check her out here: http://rubyw32.deviantart.com/ Free download on my bandcamp: https://luckrock.bandcamp.com/track/one-day-2 Or if you prefer, soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/luck-rock/one-day-1 Also please subscribe if you aren't already! It really helps me out!!! Lyrics: What is it that everybody Here is so depressed? We’re all just getting by each day We’re all getting more stressed Everyone’s out to get us That’s why we think we’re strange But in the end we just want a place Where we'd never have to change Growing up was not so easy But it came like a flash and struck like thunder Now petty tricks and wishful tactics Come not from hate, they’re driven by hunger As we struggle through And die on the inside We keep in our hearts that warming thought That one day it will all turn out all right One day we’ll find that special place Where no one feels they’re a disgrace Where stealing is not how we survive And we get along outside of the hive Knowing that someone is always there Where there’s no anxiety or having to care Where for once in a lifetime it’s ok to be wrong One day we’ll find that place where we belong We’re not all the monsters The world makes us create If we could just be who we are It might not be too late No one stops to think to themselves We’re being pushed too far So the expectations and criticisms Are now who we think we are A little space, a little time Just open up a bit And we won’t feel like it’s so hopeless And we won’t wanna quit While manipulation can consume our lives It’s hard to see the light But somehow we hold on and think That one day it’ll all turn out all right One day we’ll find that special place Where no one feels they’re a disgrace Where stealing is not how we survive And we get along outside of the hive Knowing that someone is always there Where there’s no anxiety or having to care Where for once in a lifetime it’s ok to be wrong One day we’ll find that place where we belong Where for once in a lifetime we feel so strong Cuz we know we’re in that place where we belong
