The 17th of this month will be the moon festival we all know and love. It's called the Mid-Autumn Festival, or 中秋節 in Chinese. It's a festive, spectacular night filled with lights, lanterns, and laughter, but also a night where families gather, enjoy great food, and appreciate the big full moon symbolic of this festival. Moments like this have always brought back so many nostalgic memories for me, and its selection of Chinese classic songs is no exception here! Originally sung by Teresa Teng in 1973, The Moon Represents My Heart (月亮代表我的心) has long been one of my all-time favorites, and I would even call it one of the classics. I still remember listening to this song played quite often back when I was young, and rediscovering old memories like this has given me countless joy and nostalgia. But tonight, this song is coming to town with a twist as we elevate The Moon Represents My Heart to an all-new level! It's the same old thing, but with "all that jazz"! (see what I did there?) One of the many new hits premiered in our Camp Equestria set, our latest remix of this Mandarin classic takes on a rendition performed by a mighty trio and a jazzy big band, as we herald and celebrate this fascinating tradition beneath the moonlight. Now, sit back and relax, enjoy this moment, and happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
