I found this in my files and was like, "OMG WHY DID I NEVER UPLOAD THIS?!?!?!" Okay so this fansong was inspired by a theory (fully explained in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdYWO... WHICH I TOTALLY LOVE AND HOPE IS TRUE) which basically says that Kylo Ren is the one who dropped Rey off on Jakku because he felt she was a kindred spirit to him when they were children and didn't want any harm to come to her, while still causing Luke to think his daughter was dead. I love the idea of Rey and Ben having a close familial bond as children. This song is a parody of the River Lullaby from The Prince of Egypt. It is sung in the point of view of Kylo Ren/Ben Solo as he drops her off on Jakku. Also just as a note, I used the term "sweetheart" in the lyrics because 1) In the novel the person in the book who drops Rey off calls her sweetheart and 2) because Han Solo is the only other person who uses the term "sweetheart" in Star Wars, it made sense to me for Ben to use the family pet name on Rey.
