This is a project I've been working on for quite awhile (at least a few weeks), and it's gone through several iterations before the final product you see before you. I knew I wanted to make some kind of remix/cover of something from this show, but I didn't know what at first. I wanted to do something different then just the normal remixes you'd see, and I wanted it to be interesting. Being a big fan of Pogo, I decided to do a Pogo style remix of the first two episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (if you don't know who Pogo is then check out his awesome work: http://www.youtube.com/user/Fagottron ). Sadly, the results were disastrous, everything I tried to do failed miserably, voice clips didn't sound right, I couldn't get things in tune, and the things that did manage to get put together weren't catchy or memorable at all, so I had to step back and re-think my strategy.

Later, upon re-watching Episode 12, I saw Pinkie Pie's "Cupcakes" song and remembered that it was actually one of the catchier songs in the show, but I found it disappointing that it was so short, then it hit me, I'd use my knowledge gained from my "Want You Gone" remix and apply it to "Cupcakes" to see what would happen. Immediately I was much happier with the results. Turns out Pinkie Pie's voice, when cut up into individual notes and syllables, sounds pretty neat. As I worked I thought of her vocal snippets as more of an instrument in and of itself then any kind of dialog, and I think it creates a unique sound. I also decided that I'd upload two versions of this track, because a few people wanted vocal-less versions of my "Want You Gone" remix, so I figured I'd be prepared for that request this time around.
