Guys our videos HIGHLY depend off the generous support of donors and sponsors. Everything in my videos costs money. Why? Because talent is valuable and if people work for me well, they get paid. Simple as that. It usually costs $250 or more to make each video. Right now we are pushing out about 4-6 a month but it is taking a huge toll. We want to keep MIDIs free as much as possible so people can learn their favorite obscure songs. "But Weim, doesn't YouTube pay you already?" Yes but it is not a lot. 1/3 of all views are unpaid. This is due to ad-blocker and incompatible formats. On top of that only 5 out of the 12 months of a year are good earning months. That means things are REALLY tight the other 7 months. So we spend over $1000 a month making quality videos for you guys. I promise YouTube does not pay enough to cover the costs. It's just the way it is and Google is not making any changes about it anytime soon.

So now we come to you guys, the viewers, to consider joining the sponsorship team so that we may continue our work. I am not going to lie, things are not looking well for the channel due to how expensive this hobby/small business can be.

I myself make nothing from the channel. I know that may seem hard to believe but the videos are not paying for themselves so that means I have to take on a separate job to cover the costs. I cannot make a living off of YouTube. That's not how it works. My career is not in this field. However I also cannot be taking every penny I get from my real job and put it into making videos that do not pay out in return. Especially not with school loans in process.

So as a last ditch effort, Crowne Prince, Dr. Wolf, Nowacking, Golden Heart, James Vermont, and myself all got together to make a video to outreach to you guys. It's an attempt to help people realize that we are in great need of your help to continue making quality synthesia videos. Not to brag but we are the only channel that produces high quality Synthesia videos. And one of few to make our MIDIs free for use.

Overall if we do not get enough funds to cover monthly costs. I may have to put the channel on hiatus for a few months. I am going back to school to finish my degree so I will no longer be able to upkeep the costs since I will be leaving my part time job. However, in the mean time, if we got enough funds from Patreon, we could still do this channel, otherwise I have to consider other harder options.
