Surprisingly enough, Twilight is actually not my favorite pony

Here we go y'all, my first original pony song in a loooooong time, and I gotta say it turned out better than I had hoped it would. After that Destiny EP remake, I've really taken notice of just how far I've come as a musician, and it's so exciting to think of how much farther I'll go.

But anyways, this song is a look at how Twilight feels being thrust into the role of Princess of Friendship. There's no instruction manual she can read, no amount of studying could prepare her for the burden she never asked for. She struggles with the concept of having to learn without the aid of those before her, and wishes she could be the beacon of hope everyone makes her out to be.

This is also the first song in a "series" of songs I'm doing, each one focusing on a different pony and including, but not limited to, Luna, Celestia, and Moondancer. It's gonna be fun!

(please don't ask me the genre here, it's a weird mix of metal, orchestral, and alternative electronic afaik)
