Not being able to work on Chaotic Horizon, I ultimately decided to work on an alternate project: a cover.  This original song is Shoot the Messenger by none other than H8_Seed, an artist that I feel is slightly underrated when compared to some of the other musicians in the community.  (No disrespect to them, of course, for their fame is definitely well-earned.)  I was tempted to go with Neverending Strife, but I felt that it had been redone really frequently as is.  Plus, I always liked the overall mood of this song.

As for the creation process, I had to manually identify and transpose every single note of the song, as well as figuring out the rhythms.  Luckily, the instrumentals for the song are really, REALLY repetitive, so after I determined the main parts of the song, the rest was much easier.  I also took a bit of liberty with making the song have a little more pizzazz, complete with a lengthy guitar solo.  This was also the first full song for which I recorded lyrics.  So, yeah.
