(...and like that, a new sign had appeared above us. Both the sun and moon hung there next to each other in perfect parallel, dividing the sky halfway between light and dark, like some kind of nightmarish stitchwork. We both knew that this just shouldn't be...but somehow, it was.

"It's the middle of the night! But it could be morning. That's just it! I can't tell!" I said.
