This made my day. Whoever did the writing on this either did a lot of research, or (more likely) has clinically diagnosed mental illness. Generally a therapist wouldn't have that amount of insight or ability (that would be an experienced psychologist). But Rick's criticism of therapy was an extremely excellent show of my viewpoint on the subject matter, and the therapists' response would be a highly experienced professional adaptation of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in which she met Rick on an intellectual level of understanding. But she also replied in a typical format that comes from the POV of a mental health specialist. The assumption that an individual in control of a situation, and in order to defeat mental health issues of the mind is by putting forth the effort. - - - - It's possible for a television cartoon to entertain a wide range of audiences, with senseless violence, pop culture references, but at the interesting core, beating heart of this show are down-to-earth real life issues and complex characterizations. At the same time, it can include snippets of believable atmosphere with segments just like this.
