How about a bit of folk music about our favourite apple-buckin' farmer?

Based on a classic Irish folk song about roaming far from home and then returning to roam no more, this struck a chord with me when I thought about how much it rang true with AJ's story. So then I figured, why not put some lyrics to it?

A few days and some fun later, here's the result!

LYRICS:

I've been a wild Apple for many a year
And I ventured away to a place far from here.
But now I'm returning where you can be sure
That I never will play the wild Apple no more.

Will I play the wild Apple

I went to Manehattan, lit up by the moon
And I asked them if I could be just like that too.
I stayed with my uncle and aunty for free
But I soon came to realise "This just ain't fer me!"

I looked out my window, saw a rainbow so bright
And my young filly's eyes opened wide with delight.
I packed up my things, bid my kinsfolk farewell
And set off a-running back through hill and dell

I came home to my granny, confessed how I'd faired
And asked her to pardon this prodigal mare.
And as she has done so, as she'd done before
I never will play the wild Apple no more.
