First, I wanted to emphasize that it is not my voice that needs to be heard, but rather the voices of those who are suffering. Second, I wanted to show respect for a very solemn subject, and I felt that adding music or sound would detract from that. Finally, I don't feel that I have much to add to the conversation beyond what has already been said for decades in the US. Video transcript: This video isn't about me. It's not about vocal effects, music, or audio engineering. But it is about voices. It's about amplifying the voices of others. The voices of black people. Black people who still, to this day, face oppression, violence, and hatred... Who are denied housing, jobs, education, opportunities... Life. Just for being black. This video isn't about me. It's about George Floyd. Breonna Taylor. Walter Scott. Freddie Gray. Tamir Rice. Philandro Castile. And the rest of the 1,252 black people who have been killed by police since 2015. It's about police brutality. Police accountability. Police participating in a prejudicial system. A system that devalues the lives of people of color. But don't take it from me. There are others who can explain this better than I could. Through my silence here, I amplify their voices. Links are in the description for more information. And for ways you can help. In order for America to end racial injustice, we all have to do our part. We have to stand together. We have to lift up those who are suffering. We have to dismantle the systems that tear others down. We must all shoulder the burden that people of color shouldn't have to bear alone. Every little bit helps. And for those who are hurting, remember: It's okay to not be okay. Thank you all for watching, and for supporting this cause. Let's make a difference. #BlackLivesMatter
