A demo of making vocals that sound like they're coming from an old-fashioned radio from the 1940's. I'm a big fan of that old-timey sound, and I always enjoy getting to make it. I would love the chance to create an old-fashioned radio broadcast for something like a podcast or a radio play; that'd be a lot of fun.

This effect isn't all that hard to make. All it takes is a bitcrusher to reduce the quality of the signal, a brickwall EQ to band-limit it, and some tube distortion/saturation to add a little crunch. Then, you can add some background noise with a pink noise plugin or some kind of noise-generator, fed through more distortion. I'll be doing a tutorial on this effect in the future.
