This song was one that needed to happen. It's been far too long since I've released an original song, with original lyrics, about something that isn't fan-related, with minimal vocal processing, and in an unusual time signature. Further, this marks my first song about anything even remotely resembling love and intimacy, which is a big deal for me, because I find these things hard to talk about.
