A demo of some of the amazing and weird things you can do with a vocoder. It's honestly one of my favorite effects of all time, because it's so versatile, yet so unmistakably unnatural-sounding. Yes. Vocoders are actually somewhat complex (especially regarding how they work), so they deserve a full tutorial. Plus, there are some extra things you need to do to get a vocoder sound that actually sounds good. What plugins did you use? I used 3xOSC, Sytrus, and Harmor as carriers, and Vocodex as the vocoder. Do I need FL Studio 12 to make these sounds? Hardly. As long as you have access to a halfway-decent vocoder plugin and a good synthesizer or two, you can do all that I've shown here and MUCH more.
