The piece I did for @dinanorlund 's one year anniversary zine!
I was really excited when hans_sniekers_art approached me about this secret project! I got working on it right away, and here are some notes on the inspirations for it.

I feel kinda bad I drew myself here, since this is about Dina, but anyway! Dina's videos are so calm and relaxing, I sometimes watch the videos late at night and they help me sleep, and that is the feeling I wanted to portray, hence the coziness, and everyone sleeping. I tryed to include as many of her characters as I could, and I love all of them!
This took about 9 or so hours, spread throughout 11 days of work, starting on May 6th! Sketch, refined sktech/line art, base colors, cell shading, rendering.
Duting rendering I've realized how I don't do different textures, and although I can separate things enough with checking values more often, it still looks a unnatural, so, I tried bringing in more texture, mostly on sheepdog's whool!
This was a great experience on making colors cohesive and composition as wel. For example, I should have swapped Syv and Cat (his dark fur blends in too much with Greylegs), but I was too late into it when I saw that. Just goes to show I need to put more planning on my paintings.
I put my all into this one, and possibly can use it as examples for future commissioners (if Dina allows it).I've been low key planning on updating my price list with better examples, so I can get a bit of money, and help out on Dina's next kickstarter! Snow Cat Prince! I couldn't help on Grey legs (I did end up getting the book later though ;)).
