I don't know if any of you thought this when you saw the episode, but I saw a parallel between the changeling's speech about feeling like a different colour and the struggles of finding out your gender identity. The idea that you don't feel quite right in your own skin, that you were born outside of the binary. The struggle of trying to conform to society when you feel like the only one like you.

Of course I could be wrong and this is just a show about cartoon horses, but I don't care!

I don't own my little pony, but if I did we'd have a lot more LGBT representation on there. I mean seriously, why can't Lyra and Bon Bon just kiss already?!
