Grounded. 

That's the status of every Pegasus not drafted to help clear the worsening skies over head; either those not strong enough to fight the winds or those who refuse to.

Lightning Dust was thrown away by the Wonderbolts and the pride she was left with refused their offer to join them now that they "needed" her for glorified weather work. 

And while she still has her pride, she's lost a different part of herself; her skies. All she can do now is stare at them from her new "sanctuary" on the grounds of Canterlot, wandering around doing nothing but take in the "good will" of the crown.

Her talent is flying and right now there's no way else to fly.
