All it can take to change ones life forever is a single moment. Like firefly making you look away, or taking a different route home that usual. Moondancer trudged through the darkened alleys of a new of Canterlot. And she was not lost. She knew where she was going and which way that was, therefore not "Lost". But the previously spacious streets & parks of Canterlot had become a maze of permanently-temporary homes and tent cities. Months had passed since the first towns started to become too flooded to be inhabited. The grazing plains of Equestria were being taken over by wetlands, gifts from the uncontrollable clouds overhead. All the best pegasi from around empire were being called in yet still the weather continued to get worse. But Canterlot was kept nice and sunny. And Everypony seemed okay with that. Lives uprooted and yet everypony continued to smile with constant praise for the Princesses' assistance despite their sole plan for reversing a world affecting phenomenon being, once again, putting all their hopes into the actions of a single pony. A plan that, in order to keep both books & food on her table, Moondancer had to provide her assistance to. While not the most powerful of Unicorns, her theory was unmatched in her young age group. While others were in charge of the actual casting of magic, she currently earned her paycheck through her ability to modify & add to spells that had already been cast. Her current project being making adjustments to a rune intended to allow a pony to breathe in an environment without oxygen, originally enchanted by an genius/ex-friend turned princess/boss. A genuis/ex-friend/princess/boss that she was still yet to see or hear from directly since the betrayal that earned her the previously mentioned title of "ex-friend" And as she ruminated on this, about to trot out of the alley to the main road she had finally spotted, she overheard an argument. Across the road stood what looked like Spitfire, the celebrity, pleadingly arguing with a turqoise pegasus who was certainly having none of what the wonderbolt was putting down. And in the arguing, Moondancer heard a familiar sentiment. "After all this, NOW you want me? As I've said a dozen times. N. O. NO. Now leave me ALONE." Spitfire sighed defeatedly, turning around to fly off before making final statement. "Don't you get tired of the walking? If you just got over it, that no-fly ruling of yours would be gone. And you could be an actual pegasus again." As she flew away, the pegasus she had been talking to seethed and spit on the ground where Spitfire once was. As the turqoise pegasus turned to (illegally) fly down the alley way, Moondancer unconciously reached out her hoof. "Wait." Visuals/Art for this made by myself using Rebelle 5 & Sony Vegas 14. This one was delayed because I dug myself into a deep hole with the art for this one that I already committed to.
