In June, I had the pleasure of seeing the wonderful Selah Sue perform at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC. In short, she's the greatest thing in the world ever. She's an absolutely electrifying performer, and while her records excel at capturing her energy, seeing her grooving and just absolutely losing herself in the music live is an experience all on its own.

While I'm partial to her reggae-funk inspired tracks, her rendition of "Break" at the show was absolutely breathtaking. Though nothing could quite do it justice, I felt compelled to do a cover of this beautiful song.
