EDIT: Ah, so as others have pointed out, it was an update to the Wii U version that brought back the "100 Rings=Extra Life" feature. Makes sense now.

Again, I'm not sure why this works for me, and it didn't work for Nick. Maybe it does now, maybe it doesn't. But I just wanted to try it for meself. Props to Nick again for his work, though.
