Éponine was the hardest character to cast. She has two sides to her personality: the lonely, romantic side and the strong, confident side. The problem was I didn't know which one was her true self. That is until MsWickedWolf sent me a character description, which helped me decide.

"Éponine is one of the musical's most beloved characters she is made to have a more romanticized, sympathetic, likeable and relatable presentation of her character and she is not as manipulative she is traditionally pretty but she is still presented as ragged and poverty-stricken. Her child self remains unchanged."

From this there was no doubt in my mind that Éponine is Rarity. Rarity is one of the strongest characters of the show. She's able to "get herself out of a sticky situation" all on her own with rarely any help. She is also the most romantic of the six, fantasizing the perfect relationship and not letting it get her down when it doesn't work out.
