2.5 years after I got my motorcycle license, I braked a bit too hard over a slippery patch while riding home on Easter night, causing a low side. I was recording, so I thought: why not? 😂 
Thankfully, because of my full gear (full helmet, boots, gloves, and Joe Rocket armored suit), I walked away with no physical injury besides a sprained ankle which healed on its own a couple of days later; I was able to forgo medical attention.
Damages to bike (on left side) - cracked fairing, bent handlebar and gear shifter, scratches on: engine, clutch lever, auxiliary spotlight, center stand, top box, and top box side arm. Bike was ridden home.
