GENRE: Metalcore/Djent
THIS SONG IS FINALLY DONE! I know it seems like I've been cranking out music lately, but the instrumental for this one has actually been done since January. I had a ton of trouble trying to find a vocalist that actually followed through with the song, but my pal Crystal Slave came back from the dead and absolutely killed it on this track. Huge props to him and to my buddy Nick for helping me to transition my fragmented riffs and ideas into a song I can be proud of.
The lyrics for this one mean quite a lot to me. I've always had an affinity for Scootaloo and when Sleepless in Ponyville came out it instantly became my favourite episode. Watching Scootaloo learn to deal with her anxiety and overcome her fears really resonated with me, so this song is a parallel of both Scootaloo's and my own experience in dealing with anxiety and the loss of a loved one.
Whoa, this got pretty heavy... like that ending breakdown. Enjoy!
