Here it is, my long awaited review of the My Little Pony Movie! Yes, a review for a movie that came out two years ago, using a song that’s a year old. Aren’t I just topical? But seriously, I didn’t mind the movie all that much. It was a fun little romp clearly designed for introducing the show to a new audience, which is needed every now and then when a show grows long enough to bridge a generation gap. But when you actually look at it… it really is just a lot of going to a place, looking at how interesting it is, and then moving on. The movie REALLY could have benefited from dropping one or two locations and focusing more on the important ones. That’s a lot of chaff that doesn’t really add anything to the plot. Fortunately, Mystery Science Theater 3000 comes through again with an amazing musical number that fits perfectly! It’s no secret that I adore the show, and the CMCs fit their roles almost too perfectly. Not to mention the sheer number of coincidences that match this song to the movie… I had the biggest grin on my face when making this one! I do not own My Little Pony or Mystery Science Theater 3000, but I do own this nice candlestick. I inherited it from my… what’s that, officer? A murder? But I haven’t set foot in the Billiards Room all day! Wait, let go of me! I’m innocent, just ask the Colonel!
