Hey everybody! I've been sitting on this song for a while, so I finally decided to release it. I'm going to attempt to get a song out for Christmas, as well as a 500 subscriber (!!!!) special. Now that the semester is finally over, maybe I'll be more productive with music stuff...

I wanted this song to feel like it was constantly moving forward. I wanted to tell the story about what happened to tempest shadow a.k.a. berry twist when she "left to spread the news of the storm kings defeat". I'm aware that the comics have addressed this, but I haven't read them, so any connection with them is coincidental.

I figure that after a worldview-altering event, she would need some time to process it, and that it would take time for her to accept her new identity. I actually draw some parallels with my own faith story. Jesus came into my life and radically altered the way I see the world. This wasn't something immediate, but is something that I have been growing into as I become more and more aware of who I am in Him. Sometimes my past comes to haunt me, as well as mistakes I have made even recently, but I am reminded that because of my faith in Jesus I am a new creation and God is faithful to forgive. Because of this, there is a hope that sustains me through times of uncertainty and keeps me moving forward. That is one of the main reasons why the song doesn't formally "end".
