--Overall Comments--

And like that, the Luna / CMC trilogy of episodes is complete!  I really do love this episode, as well as the ones the past two seasons, and how the staff have tied these three together over 3 seasons though their story and music.  It’s one of those things you look back on and say: “wow, that was a pretty cool thing they did.”  That being said, expect to hear many reoccurring themes from the past two Luna / CMC episodes, as they are continued to be used perfectly to help tied them all together.  We also get one of the sweetest songs of the series, this time from episode writer Josh Haber and William Anderson.

Apple Bloom shows off her brand new cutie mark to Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle—but it doesn’t pan out the way she would have hoped.

After being shut out of the clubhouse, the score once again takes a dark turn with another reprise of the motif we heard earlier in the episode, and was originally from Sleepless in Ponyville’s “‘Silly Sleep’”.
