--Overall Comments--

It’s only August, but we’re heading into Halloween already!  When Rainbow Dash’s pranks become out-of-hand, Pinkie Pie and the rest of Ponyville find a way to get her back, and teach her a lesson.

“28 Pranks Later” delivered quite a bit of score, in many various styles.  The episode begins with some horror score, before drifting into some more normal fair driven by the musical stylings of the Mane 6 currently featured on screen.  The score then delivers us a fantastic polka pranking montage track, then multiple super-spooky and tense horror score, and even (finally!) another featured piece over the credits!

Let’s dive into each individual track.  I went a little overboard with the alliteration and rhyming!


--Track Specific Comments--

Pinkie Pie reveals that this was all a prank put on by the town to teach Rainbow a lesson.  The track begins with one of Pinkie Pie’s motifs. (Can’t remember where it was used last, but I feel like it was a bit ago.)

From there, we arrive at the episode’s lesson, and the “Magic of Friendship” motif make a reappearance, utilizing its simpler version.  The track ends with another motif which has been used in the series a few times, firstly in Season 3’s “Magic Duel” in the track “Mobius Tiere.”
