Rariot" BGM from the episode "Inspiration Manifestation" of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" (S04E23). --Overall Comments-- It wouldn't be a pony-goes-insane episode without Meghan McCarthy, would it? This week she teams up with Corey Powell to deliver a fantastic Spike and Rarity episode! As always, Tabitha delivers an amazing--if not slightly frightening--performance as Rarity, and it's always great to hear more Cathy Weseluck as Spike, who also provides a stellar performance. In this episode, Rarity become distraught when a traveling puppeteer pony is displeased with the puppet theatre she made for him. Being the good friend he is, Spike searches high and low to try and find something to help her overcome her creative slump, eventually stumbling upon a book hidden in the old abandoned castle which has a spell that appears to do exactly what he needs. However, Spike gets more than he bargained for as the spell begins to not only allow Rarity to change things, but begins changer her too. This episode was well done all around, with some fantastic animation, voice acting (i.e.: "mah puppeehts"), and a fun, humorous, and sometimes frightening story. Even Twilight made a short cameo dealing with the situation under her new princess-title, which was a nice, fitting touch. The score was no exception for this episode, with some fantastic pieces throughout by William Anderson & team. From the "Giggle at the Ghosties"-esqe opening, to the darker orchestrations as Spike finds the book, and it begins to take over Rarity, to the fun mariachi/classical music, to the emotional music during the climax, this episode delivered. Anderson has really outdone himself this season with a wide-variety of BGM and themes, as well as a few great season-long overarching themes that have tied them all together. And with the final three episodes of the season sure to be action-packed spectacles, it's fair to say the best is yet to come! --Track Specific Comments-- Spike tries to steal the spell book to stop Rarity.
