“Stomp Time“ from the episode “Not Asking For Trouble“ of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” (S07E11). (DOWNLOAD LINK BELOW). --Overall Comments-- The Yaks are back! Heavy continuity continues this season as we, and Pinkie, finally actually get to visit Yakyakistan, rather than just seeing a brief glimpse of it. Prince Rutherford and his Yaks return as well, as Pinkie tried to help the headstrong creatures through a tough, snow-filled time. Like in the Yaks’ previous appearance, the score utilizes plenty of percussion and dulcimer. This time, however, their score features very heavy accordion and mandolin, as well as more bouncy tunes compared to the more forceful, barbarian style of score they had last time. This helps to signify this destruction as celebratory, rather than the anger-induced destruction of “Party Pooped.” The Yak’s score over all feels similar to Hans Zimmer’s fantastic score from “Sherlock Holmes (2009).” “Not Asking For Trouble” also features another montage scene, which is accompanied by more new score to back it! Let’s dive in! --Track Specific Comments-- Adjusting to a new sleep schedule this week. Will write these soon… (Watch in 1080p!)
