--Overall Comments--

This week, Twilight and Spike babysit Flurry Heart, and it goes just about how you would expect!

Quite a few funny, frantic antics in today’s episode, and William Anderson’s score follows suit.  Not many of the grand, beautiful tracks we had in the season opener, but a lot of more frenzied cues.  This includes the return of a few cues from previous episodes, the most notable being Flurry Heart’s leitmotif from the Season 6 opener.

--Track Specific Comments--

We begin with Twilight talking to Nurse Redheart about her visit to some foals in the hospital.  This is backed by some lovely little woodwind score.

When Cadance and Shining armor appear, we hear a small woodwind cue.  We heard this cue in last season’s opener “The Crystalling” in the track “The Crystaller,” as Shining is anointing Sunburst into that position.  In my comments for that track, I noted that the cue had appeared in the series before, but I couldn’t place it.  As luck would have it, I was shuffling through listening to some of the series’ score a few weeks ago, and came across this theme.  It appeared last all the way back in the season 2 finale in the track “Shining Armor’s Spell Over Canterlot” (if you have CaptainComedy’s season 2 rips).  Which makes this cue Shining Armor’s own leitmotif.  You find something new every day!
