I've been trying to perfect a voice for my unicorn pony character, Pierce. He's a very socially awkward pony, who seems rather dark and bitter, but in actuality he's actually just REALLY shy. His shyness makes him talk minimally, mostly using grunts and groans to communicate when he wants something, and speaking in very blunt short sentences because he really hates talking.
His voice is supposed to sound a little gruff, but capable of being whiny and reserved.
He's going to be a character in an upcoming comic project, which I'm hoping will be entertaining and containing a similar feel to the show.
Oh, and I used my normal headset, I was just doing this for fun, not as seriously as the fan voices.

Also, I am a female, I just have a cold and a very large vocal range. And a tiny tweek in pitch in Audacity helped along my deeper voice a bit better
