And now for something completely different. Info Below I am going to start a series of videos called 'Under Construction', where I upload a short video (lol this was 40 minutes I got carried away) of me making a track I am working on. Hopefully this will show you new methods of working and give you inspiration to make your own music. This track is CODEX, heavily inspired by 80s music and the whole 'New Retro Wave' thing that's going on. All those little samples you see are recordings from my c.1984 Casiotone MT-400v. Casio MT400v For people: A small keyboard from the 80s that makes cheesy noises. For nerds: A small keyboard from the 80s with a built in analogue filter that can control the tone, drum machine and white noise. No volume envelope control but you can choose from 20 preset sounds to manipulate. The sound generation is from an analogue oscillator and can have up to 8 voices playing simultaneously. Also includes fully analogue drum machine. I hope you like the video, there should be more to come!
