READ THE LOOOOOOOOOONG DESCRIPTION, LOTSA KVLT STUFF DOWN THERE!
Won 2nd place in the "Action" category at the Bronycon 2018 PMV contest.
So, if you check the description of my latest PMV (Love?), you can read that my next PMV that I would end up making would be a pony convention PMV contest entry, would be very ambitious and would be something that I never did before.
Well, here you have a very ambitious animated PMV that ended being a 2nd placer at the biggest PMV contest in the community.
So yeah... You can see that I'm not lying.
Also, sorry for all the wait... details about that below (I will do more PMV now, I promise!)
I did every visual assets and animations in here with the help of Adobe Illustrator, animated them with After Effects, used Media Encoder to render each shots and did the full editing process with Premiere Pro.
ALL the visual assets are from me and no one else.

This PMV is heavily inspired by the visual world of the French Progressive Death Metal band, Gojira. Visually, I was mainly inspired by the cover and the visual world of their 2012 album l'Enfant Sauvage, which is also the name of the song in this PMV.
I was also inspired by the official music video of the song, which can be found on Youtube.
For a fact, I kinda had this PMV in mind since more than a year.

This project is my first animation project, expect more of these in the future if I have the time and the inspiration.
I started to work on it in January, but I stopped when I thought that my PC was not powerful enough to do more of it, so I waited to work on it again until I could build a decent content creation PC. After an internship in 2d animation that made me more comfortable with After Effects, I bought the pieces of my PC and built it, and then I went back to this project. It turned out that the time away from this project was beneficial for me. I decided to start from scratch a month before the 1st of July, while keeping some of the visual assets, because I realised that I could have done the pre-production much better than before: I went from a complex-ass storyboard to a google sheets file that contained visual ideas of each shot and that made the whole process much more comfortable to me.
One thing that I can think of, that made me better was the internship I was a part of. This experience helped me know new ways of doing pre-production (I learned the google sheet way of pre-producing during the Internship) and helped me become a better animator.

Now, enough personal blablah!
Let's talk about the story.
The story in this PMV is about a pony who fails to fit into society and escapes it to join the forest, where he founds his true home.
