Brina's performance is defiant, if I had to sum it up. Her depth as an actress led her to deliver a very nuanced performance that has lots of different elements, so I can't characterize it as any single thing; but in her Adrift, at least, she is not giving in- she will get this message to you through the void.

I did not realize, perhaps, just how resigned other performances of Adrift have been, until I heard hers- in contrast, hers is so unwilling to go down without a fight, to maybe beat this space death thing if it can.
