Uncertainty Principle" swings the pendulum back to center from the heavily nondeterministic "Oblivion" of the last update- it's one of the tracks that's more like a typical, predictable track, with defined movements and a set arc to it. It's got a triumphant and peaceful sound, like everything in the Universe is just amazing and beautiful; a rapturous quality. Here's a render of "Uncertainty Principle" with Mikey on it. So, what's nondeterministic in "Uncertainty Principle"? The quarter-note drone that keeps moving from ear to ear morphs imperceptibly with each instance of the drone, and how far it moves from one ear to the other is related to the grade of the morph. (This was part of the inspiration of the Uncertainty Principle element of the track). The effect isn't very pronounced in this particular render. The big one is that the chords throughout the second, narrated half of the album are nondeterministic! The chord progression running behind Mikey's voice performance is different every time it plays back. Sometimes it takes a more subdued tone, sometimes it's extra triumphant. And as always, the artist (moi) manually adjusts parameters between every recording, too, keeping the synth sounds fresh
